Job Description

The Team Leader in the Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), High Risk Customer Monitoring Group is responsible for overseeing a team of junior and senior level EDD Risk Analysts and is charged with completing a Quality Control Review ("QCR") of Risk Analysis work products, including recommended risk mitigation actions.

This position will also work with the banks BSA Officer and High Risk Customer Monitoring Group Manager to continually develop and implement a scalable QCR process to ensure that high risk customer reviews are completed consistent with the Bank's requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Overseeing the day-to-day QCR process on all completed high risk customer reviews, that the reviews are completed in accordance with Bank policy.

Coordinating with the BSA Officer and the High Risk Customer Monitoring Group Manager of the to establish and implement a minimum standard for tracking Risk Analyst performance based on established performance measures.

Acting as a SME on EDD group policy, procedures and escalation standards.

Demonstrating a comprehensive knowledge of inherently BSA/ AML high risk customers, to include expected and anticipated activity, regulatory requirements for all identified high risk customer types (i.e. including but not limited to, Money Services Businesses,
Non Resident Aliens (NRAs), Politically Exposed Persons (PEP), Non-Bank Financial
Institutions, Professional Service Providers, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) etc.)

Having and demonstrating knowledge regarding the identification process for high risk customers

Participating in process standardization and improvement discussions with the BSA Officer and process partners.

Providing training and coaching EDD Analysts based on the results of the QCR process and/ or emerging trends.

Developing and tracking relevant metrics in relation to the High Risk Customer Monitoring group's performance and reoortin2 those metrics to the BSA Officer and other stakeholders.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensuring that all QCR documentation (case management) is stored according to Bank policy.

Recommending improvements to process in areas of efficiency, control, and work product.

Participate in Committee meetings as necessary.

Ad-hoc and project support responsibilities, as required. Applying independent judgment in the identification and escalation of key BSA/ A.Client/ OFAC risks.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

BA/BS degree is required and a professional certification a plus (i.e., CAMS
certification preferred but can be obtained within 9 months of hire).

5+ years of experience in banking, with a strong emphasis on BSA, AML and OFAC laws and regulations.

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Excellent researching and time management skills with strong focus on attention to detail.

A team player able to work effectively in a team fostered, multi-tasking environment.
