Summary

This position is responsible for the overall financial integrity and effectiveness of various accounting functions.

The Senior Manager of Accounting is responsible for ensuring all accounting and record keeping with respect to transactions, is timely, accurate and follows established company accounting procedures.

Responsibilities

Calculation and recording of journal entries, review of system generated entries, and other tasks to accomplish timely, accurate month end closing.

Monthly account reconciliations

Assist with audits including schedule preparation, self-testing, and supporting documentation

Design, implement and maintain effective policies, procedures and controls

Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions.

Ensure a cooperative and collaborative relationship between the accounting team, operations, and outside vendors;

Assist in the annual budget process; develop assumptions used as a basis for budget development; summarize the budget in relation to the client’s Strategic Plan; and prepare periodic forecasts

Demonstrated experience with GAAP Accounting concepts, accounts receivable, accounts payable, financial compilations and analysis, and general ledger reporting required.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university. Public accounting or related multi-client experience is preferred

7+ years of experience is required; 3+ years of related experience in management.

Strong technical experience with GAAP accounting concepts, AP, AR and general ledger reporting.

CPA required or currently sitting for the exam.
