Job Description

Financial Reporting Accountant

Dallas, TX

Job Functions

Develop work plans for projects and programs that meet organization’s goals and reporting timelines

Preparation of financial statements, supporting schedules, quarterly filings, debt covenants, variance analyses and other applicable reports

Ensure compliance with internal controls and SOX, responsibly for GAAP compliance, policy research and documentation

Assist in preparation of annual tax returns

Coordinate audits, tax audits with external firms when necessary

Utilize expertise in technical accounting and reporting to develop, implement and maintain accounting standards and accounting control procedures

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

Real estate industry required

3-5 years accounting experience, including preparation of advanced financial statements

Public accounting experience, audit preferred

Advanced knowledge of GAAP, SEC reporting and technical accounting

Strong communication and organizational skills
