Job Description

Our client is a Mid-Sized financial institution that is looking to add a Senior Network Engineer to their team on a temp to hire basis. This person will be responsible for the design(75% of the time) and high-level support (25% of the time) of their network.

This Role will sit in Iselin, NJ. And will require occasional travel to their Mid-Town office.

Essential Job Duties:

Design, implement, manage and support the following:

Switches and routers (Cisco)

Firewalls (Checkpoint, Fortinet)

Proxies (Bluecoat)

load-balancers and WAF (F5)

VPN appliances (Pulse Secure & F5),

Authentication servers (RSA SecurID, Cisco Client)

SSL / PKI

Wireless networking (Cisco WLC, Meraki)

DNS, DHCP, IPAM

Network monitoring probes and packet analysis

Connections to external entities, including connections to the Internet, market data providers, business partners, vendors, and other divisions of the firm

Create and maintain written documentation and diagrams for all products and networks

Manage projects, including project definition, project plan development, resource allocation, and debriefing

Provide support off-hours and remotely (i.e. from home) when needed

Serve as the final escalation point for IT Operations and Service Desk for network-related issues

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related field

10+ years of experience supporting computer networks in a mission-critical environment

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment supporting real-time market data and trading

Certification and/or training with vendor-neutral or vendor-specific focus

Basic understanding of operating system administration (Windows and Linux)
