Job Description
Our client is a Real-Estate Investment Trust with about 10 Billion under management, and they are currently seeking a PM / business analyst for a short-term contract (6 month with possible extension) to implement an accounting sub-ledger package.
About the role:
This will be a hands-on role coordinating with an external package provider and internal employees, to on board and configure a new software package.
The role will be responsible for the setup of the software package, as well as integration of the subledger into the company's existing software systems.
Responsibilities include – documenting existing and new loan related processes; assisting with data conversion, including organizing and gathering loan data, and preparing sale records for each of the company's loan pools; understanding, identifying, and developing opportunities for efficiencies in the company's existing processes; and ensuring that implementation timelines are met.
Must Have:
Very strong accounting background including experience with debits and credits, chart of accounts, balance sheet, income statement and general ledger systems.
This project will be implementing a new accounting subledger package for loan accounting.
Strong experience with data organization and manipulation using Microsoft Excel.
Prior experience with implementation of a fixed income subledger system.
Would Prefer:
Experience with loan accounting, especially residential mortgage products. Prior experience in an accounting role is preferred.
Ideally:
Experience with the "SBO 2000” Loan Accounting / Servicing software would be ideal.
