Job Description
FULL STACK DEVELOPER - .NET
Seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to join an established development team to do a mix of backend, front end and support.
The Full Stack Developer will assist in the design, modification, testing, implementation and maintenance of .NET applications, handle the necessary documentation of user requirements and software designs, test software code to ensure functionality and apply fixes to resolve technical issues.
The ideal candidate will also have good experience with SSIS/SQL and experience developing data integrations and secondary applications related to portfolio accounting, reporting and/or order management systems.
Excellent communication skills are required as you will be working with the business-side to give updates and direction with those outside of IT
Responsibilities
Assist in the design, modification, testing, implementation and maintenance of the firm's .NET applications.
Ensure software development activities comply with company standards and procedures.
Perform assigned software development project activities. Communicate project status and issues that may impede project success to project leader.
Participate in software design meetings and document user requirements for development team.
Develop and execute test plans for new or modified software applications. Identify and resolve issues identified through testing. Ensure complete documentation of testing.
Resolve technical and user issues and escalate complex problems to senior staff and vendors if necessary.
Develop tools and training aids for application users.
Document software designs, test cases, production implementation plans, and maintenance activities.
Develop knowledge of industry trends that may impact software development solutions.
Ensure all activities are in compliance with applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related subject matter required
4+ years of experience in .NET development
.Net Development – C#, ASP.ASP, MVC, ADO.NET Entity Framework, Java script and JQuery
SQL/SSIS Development
SQL Server Database design, development
Data extraction & messaging
Agile Scrum development methodology
Experience with job schedulers, such as Active Batch
Experience working with various marketing data providers (e.g. Factset, Bloomberg)
Experience building and supporting ETL processes.
Experience with Accounting and/or other Back Office systems
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including good listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
Self-managing, motivated and able to work independently
Solution and detail oriented
Takes ownership of issues and sees them to resolution
Highly organized and able to multi-task

Financial industry experience is highly preferred
Microsoft certifications preferred, but not required
