ACCOUNTANT I Joliet, IL 3+ month contract The Position: We are hiring a Level I Account to reconcile inter-entity accounts with global trading partners monthly. This position performs month end processes such as accruals of inter-entity trade invoices and manual charges. The Accountant will prepare reconciliations for remaining out of balance positions for all trading partners. This position reports to the Manager, Inter-Entity Accounting. What You’ll Do: Reconciles with inter-entity trading partners globally for receivables, payables and other transactions including royalties, R&D and other expenses. Performs month-end accounting close including preparing complex journal entries for foreign entities to correct out-of-balance positions. Prepares requests for the treasury department for payment to global inter-entity partners. Restates foreign currencies on domestic ledgers. Prepares account reconciliations and performs analysis to understand out-of-balance positions. Interprets company policy to ensure that all accounts are accurately reconciled. Reviews blocked invoices and works with other departments to resolve. Participates in integration and other initiatives including testing, training and documenting issues as needed. Develops work instructions and continuously improves. Skills/Experience You’ll Need: Bachelor’s in related curriculum such as Accounting or Finance 1 month - 18 months of related experience Excellent written and verbal communication
