Job Description

QA AUTOMATION ENGINEER

Seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to join a growing financial services organization.

The QA Automation Engineer will work closely with the QA Lead and will be an integral part of the company's development process, identify automation strategies and developing processes.

You will be responsible for detecting, analyzing and resolving systems and product issues to meet and maintain quality standards.

The ideal candidate will be able to hit the ground running with automation.

Excellent communication skills are required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Define and establish automation strategy and processes

Own the design and development of all aspects of automated testing along with creation, execution and maintenance of automated scripts

Coach members of the team on software test and automation best practices

REQUIREMENTS:

BS/BA in computer science, engineering or related discipline desired

3+ years as a QA Automation Engineer or a Software Developer in Test (SDET)

5+ years hands on experience in developing regression and functional test plans, managing defects, and implementing stress/load/volume/automated testing

Strong knowledge of Programming Languages - Java, C# is a plus

Web based Automation Testing Tools - Selenium, Test Tools -JUnit/TestNG, Build Tools - Maven/Ant, Testing in Cloud, run Continuous Integration builds

Experience with performance/load testing

Experience using 3rd party automation tools

Experience using Microsoft TFS ALM system

Experience with Test Driven Development and Agile SDLC

API Testing - Rest/Soap - PostMan

Proven understanding of white box, grey box and black box testing techniques

Experience with source control systems and configuration management such as GIT

Experience with SQL and full understanding of queries and stored procedures

Excellent problem solving, interpersonal communication, flexible, and team player are all a must
