Job Description

NETWORK ENGINEER - JUNIPER

Seeking an experienced Network Engineer with a background working with Juniper to join a global team.

The Network Engineer will be responsible for production support within a Juniper environment which includes deployment, maintenance, and 24x7 operational supports.

The successful candidate will be hands-on and able to multitask in a dynamic team-based environment.

You will be an integral part of project work, including large network deployments through implementation, documentation and support handover.

The ideal Network Engineer will serve as a go-to troubleshooting and solution-oriented engineer that requires a high degree of professionalism in addition to demonstrating strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

Implement, deploy, support and maintain mixed vendor network infrastructure

Assist internal staff with problem solving and escalation procedures

Understand and follow operational policies/procedures and promote adherence to same

Provide technical knowledge needed to ensure safe, effective, and efficient changes to the network infrastructure

Adhere to policies and procedures for maintaining network infrastructure

Collaborate and work closely with all other IT teams

Participate in incident investigations, diagnosis, and service restoration and always give priority to the resolution of incidents

Provide consultation (trouble-shooting, designing, on-boarding, risk mitigation, operational improvement) for areas of domain strength



Requirements

3+ years' experience as a Network Engineer performing hands-on support and troubleshooting of Juniper networks

Strong knowledge and experience with Routing Protocols (BGP, RIP, OSPF, etc.)

Experienced with F5 and Checkpoint

Strong experience in Multicast in switched and routed networks

Strong experience in MPLS and Traffic Engineering

Experience with implementation on complex networks

Understanding of network management, security and monitoring

Excellent writing and documentation skills

Excellent customer service attitude

Ability to operate effectively and professionally under pressure

Experience working on financial and HFT networks is desired

In-depth hardware knowledge of switches and routers: (Internal chipsets specifications, TCAM and memory details, buffering capabilities and multicast replication details).
