Media Asset Operations Engineer:

As a Media Asset Operations Engineer, you will provide subject matter guidance and application management (from a support perspective) for a globally centralized media asset management system and media operations team.

This position will help build customer trust by identifying and resolving the root cause of submitted issues through direct action or by working with the Dalet or related vendors in the overall media asset management ecosphere.

This role will also respond to due diligence and other related activities as well as build long-standing, positive relationships with stakeholders to become the "ears on the ground" for new enhancement and project opportunities to meet their needs in the future.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Key Media Asset Management support activities including

- Setting up and executing Media Asset Migration scripts

- Create and execute auto validation scripts to ensure fully automated reconciliation

- Monitor, identify and optimize asset management production environments while recommending and implementing efficiencies

• Key customer technical support activities including

- Filing reports regarding product problems with the vendor

- Researching technical issues and managing resolution with vendor support

- Managing and processing customer orders such as user account creation, permissions, indexing, creating new fields

- Walking customers through solutions

- Reviewing and Validate product change requests from stakeholders

- Learning about Media Asset Management product updates and new technologies in the marketplace

- Preparing support Standard Operating Procedures and FAQs for frequent issues

- Document issue resolution and product configuration

- Absorb institutional knowledge from migration scripts, prior migration experiences and current/resolved technical issues

- Application monitoring and management reporting on application issues

• Train and learn product experience to eventually take on asset management system workflow and configuration efforts

REQUIREMENTS

• BS in Computer Science/Engineering, or equivalent required, MS in Computer Science/Engineering a plus

• Considerable experience in Shell Scripting, SQL, SQL+ Server, XML

• Prior experience with AWS storage environments (S3, Glacier, file management operations and configuration)

• Strong knowledge / experience in media asset management systems such as Dalet, Interplay MAM, Gorilla MAM, OpenText

• Programming experience in JAVA

• Comfortable in Linux & Windows operating systems

• Strong communication skills

• Dalet product knowledge from a support perspective (Preferred)

• Experience using various requirements analysis techniques to capture and write enhancement requirements / defect issues

• Experience with Agile development methodology

• Conduct walkthroughs with internal and external teams.

• Assist with prioritization and resolution of defects/bugs

• Participate proactively in developing and maintaining team standards, tools, and best practices
