Job Description

IT Quality Assurance Analyst

The IT Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for preparing test plans and test cases based on business requirements.

The analyst will be responsible for all manual testing including defect lifecycles.

JOB DUTIES:

· Prepare test plans and detailed test cases based on business requirements.

· Execute positive and negative test cases, test regression, and defect fix verification.

· Work with the defect tracking system to document and submit defects detailing the steps to replicate.

· Apply testing techniques and methodology to uncover bugs by following QA procedures and standards.

· Troubleshoot issues to resolution by conferring with manager, peers, business analyst and development.

· Participate in team meetings with manager to outline test planning and test execution strategies.

· Participate in peer reviews to review test cases and test scripts for requisite test coverage.

· Store QA artifacts related to testing assignments for future reference and manager's review if needed.

· Prioritize and complete testing task assignments in response to aggressive deadlines without compromising quality standards.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

· Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Biotechnology, or a related field or foreign equivalent; Three (3) years of experience in IT Quality Assurance and experience with a bug tracking system; Prior e-commerce experience; Experience in writing test plans & test cases;

alternatively a MS in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Biotechnology, or a related field or foreign equivalent; and two (2) years of experience years of experience in IT Quality Assurance and experience with a bug tracking system; Prior e-commerce experience; Experience in writing test plans & test cases.

SPECIFIC SKILLS OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

· Experience testing E-Commerce web and mobile applications; - (Min 3 yrs)

· Knowledge of Tools such as Jira; - (Min 2 yrs)

· Good understanding of integration testing; – (Min 1 yr)

· Excellent communication skills.
