Job Description

Job Summary:

Accountability for the monthly financial reporting process, financial statement compilation, monthly and annual closing process, ad-hoc analysis and completion of daily, weekly and monthly management reports.

Additional responsibility for various front office management functions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Ownership of the general ledger and execution of the monthly closing process including preparation of journal entries, ensuring all transactions, department allocations, accruals, reserves and adjustments are recorded completely and in the appropriate period.

Maintenance of all periodic financial analysis reports, financial schedules and bank account and general ledger account reconciliations.

Full comprehension and knowledge of the industry operating software application.

Knowledge and experience with payroll processing and related tax filings.

Coordination of all compliance requirements of the organization and related periodic reporting and renewals.

Accountability for the accounts receivable and accounts payable function of all operating divisions.

Assistance in forecasting and budgeting for all operating divisions as well as operational cost analysis.

Maintenance of all fixed asset schedules and recording of additions/disposals.

Ownership of inventory accounting and coordination of periodic cycle counts and general ledger adjustments.

Requirements:

Strong organizational, prioritization, project management and decision-making skills

Good analytical and problem-solving skills

High degree of accuracy with strong attention to detail

Good working knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting

Good understanding of business processes and controls

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Powerpoint

Strong initiative and independence in completing assignments

3+ minimum years of experience in accounting process responsibilities

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred

CPA designation or strong CPA candidate preferred
