Job Description

BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE CLOUD ARCHITECT

North Dallas/Addison

Direct Hire

We are hiring a Business Intelligence Architect with Azure Cloud experience to help our client build out their Cloud/Data environment from the ground up!

What You’ll Do:

Design and develop pipelines for Azure Data Factory

Design and develop services for data integration, consumption and working with other team members that develop visualizations

Design and implement complex data models.

Train and lead other team members

Work with customers in data migration projects to build migration scripts and integrate with customer’s existing databases and/or data feeds

Work with software engineers and database engineers to ensure the overall application design is optimal.

Review database design and code written by other database and software engineers.

Design, implement and operate database systems for performance and reliability.

Design and implement measurement systems to assess service delivery and key performance indicators of critical applications.

Administer production and development databases, ensuring maximum availability.

Build database tools and scripts that enable automation of tasks.

Develop, manage and test back-up and recovery plans

Conduct capacity planning for the databases for future growth.

Ensure that storage, archiving, back-up and recovery procedures are functioning correctly

Prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Skills/Experience You’ll Need:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science highly preferred

3+ years of experience with developing solutions in at least 5 of the following Azure-cloud-based services:

Data Factory, Stream Analytics, Machine Learning, Event Hubs, SQL Database, SQL Data Warehouse, Databricks, Azure SQL Database, Spark Framework

Experience in establishing the vision and design of a BI-based Cloud implementation

Experience in leading team members through the migration from an on-premise BI/data intake and reporting solution to one that is based on Cloud native services

Experience with migrating on-premises database environments into the cloud (Azure)

Experience with developing cloud-based data sources for reporting tools like Power BI

Experience with Big Data, who will help design, build and maintain Big Data workflows/pipelines to process billions of records into and out of our data lake

Experience with various messaging systems, such as Kafka or RabbitMQ (preferred)

Experience creating conceptual, logical and physical data models.

2+ years’ experience working within the healthcare industry preferred, but not required

Ability to take ownership of projects and be self-directed.

Ability to estimate development tasks accurately and meet agreed upon deadlines.

Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.

Understanding of code promotion, version control, and QA procedures
