SENIOR INVESTMENT ACCOUNTANT

Responsibilites

Maintaining the books and records of various types of entities (individual, trust, foundation, partnership) and reviewing/preparing client investment, performance, and capital reports

Reconciling accounts' cash and positions/securities to outside sources

Researching internal differences between the accounting system and outside sources

Entering transactions into accounting systems

Analyzing and booking correct transactions for corporate actions on securities positions

Entering partnership capital, subscription, commitment, capital call, distribution transactions and process/reviewmonthly partner book/tax allocations

Analyzing fund performance on a daily/ monthly basis

Reviewing and issuing Positions and P&L reports on a daily/monthly basis

Calculating NAVs on the accounts

Processing/reviewing fund and account fee calculations/allocations

Performing month-end close processes and financial statement preparation

Preparing cash management reports

Supporting all aspects of ad-hoc client reporting

Working with various investment products and others.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

CPA preferred

3 years+ experience

Thorough knowledge of investment accounting principles

Knowledge of US GAAP

Knowledge of Partnership Accounting

Experience in private equity and fund of funds accounting

Strong Excel knowledge
