Responsibilities

Complete month-end close for multiple properties that may have various due dates

Prepare monthly financial reporting packages, including the calculation of and the booking of all accruals as well as creating or updating any required backup schedules

Responsible for all supporting documentation, meeting all accounting deadlines, and financial statement distribution and saving all documentation on line

repare annual escalation and settlement billings for CAM, RET and any other applicable charges Interface with building management and owner representatives on financial and operational issues

Ensure the accuracy of lease abstracts and input the charge codes, lease dates and other information into the Yardi system

Review and resolve open credits and accounts receivable

Assist outside firms with audit and/or year-end tax filings

Maintain the books on cash accounts, initiate electronic payments and process invoices for assigned properties

Prepare all monthly management fee billing/reimbursement information for payment by owner

Assist with preparation of annual property budgets

Adhere to company internal controls to meet SOC Compliance standards

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience/education

4 years of previous property accounting experience, preferably commercial office

Prior real estate experience

Strong knowledge of and experience with Yardi accounting software a plus.

CPA preferred

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Exceptionally strong qualitative and analytical skills

Highly proficient in Microsoft based software
