Job Description
Senior network engineer needed for long-term and likely what will be a multi-year contract for the person looking to be involved in a self-less, company focused environment.

This person must be in Chicago or within driving distance.
The Senior Network Engineer's responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Setup and deployment of enterprise level, mission critical, network infrastructure components.
Working with project managers, system and software engineers to ensure successful project integration.
Owing assigned escalated support tickets through resolution.
Mentoring and cross-training team members.
The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of Data Centers, network security, high availability and QoS best practices.
Needs to be a team player and work well with
large teams on complex projects
, but also someone that is self-guided and able to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment with constantly changing variables.
CRITICAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Cisco CCIE certification: Routing & Switching and/or Data Center
5+ years in deploying enterprise network solutions including data center deployment, disaster recovery/high availability, and support
Skill in working in NX-OS and VxLAN
Skill in Cisco 2k, 5k, 7k, and 9k switches
Skill in setting up Cisco IPSec VPN and DMVPN
Able to work nights/weekends on escalated support, projects and maintenance of equipment
Able to travel for office moves, mergers, and equipment installs
Able to listen, take direction, and work in a team or independently
Self-starter
Highly motivated
Excellent written and communication skills
Beneficial Qualifications:
Experience, skill, and certifications with any of the following are beneficial, but not required.
Palo Alto firewalls
Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers with Cisco Client authentication
F5 Load Balancers
Microsoft Azure Networking
SD WAN
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering or related field
10+ years' experience in network engineering and IT support
Exceptional networking skills and knowledge
Cisco CCIE certification w/Lab
