Financial Analyst Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES

Read and analyze intermediary and certain vendor contracts

Liaise with members of the legal, marketing and accounting teams regarding new, and changes to existing, intermediary contracts

Analyze such invoices to ensure accuracy and to track monthly and quarterly payments

Perform detailed, in-depth analysis on payments to certain significant intermediaries

Identify and document discrepancies related to intermediary invoices based on contractual terms combined with other pertinent data and proactively communicate status and issues with all parties

Prepare and distribute monthly and quarterly Intermediary and key third party accounts receivable and payable reports

Forecast monthly and quarterly intermediary payments for use in accounting records and for budgeting purposes

Coordinate annual oversight documentation mailings to obtain, review and report on various

Process Improvement and Project Management

Re-engineer process to analyze monthly and quarterly invoices related to these intermediaries and certain vendors based on senior management and business requirements

Identify and document process deficiencies and make recommendations for improvement

Liaise with marketing, finance and legal teams to identify efficiency opportunities

Document requirements and work with internal technology teams to build and develop reports and enhance automation of processes

Conduct fact-finding missions, documenting pros/cons of competing third party service contracts

Work with all internal departments to determine client needs with respect to these vendors - present and future

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s preferably in Accounting or Finance

7+ years of experience within funds of funds, mutual funds or hedge funds.

Detail oriented and persistent work style

Possesses strong project management, leadership, and interpersonal skill

Ability to read and understand contracts and develop and maintain a model to track payments required by the contracts

Experience with the payment of financial intermediaries for services, vendor payment/contract analysis and/or mutual fund or transfer agency applications is highly preferable

Excellent communication, written and verbal, and organizational skills and the ability to work with others in a constructive and effective manner to reach a common goal

Related experience with back office workflow including, trade processing, accounting, reconciliation helpful

Advanced skills in all Microsoft Office applications. SharePoint experience a plus

Solid understanding of Business Objects or similar reporting tools a plus
