Job Description

Third Party Software Governance group is seeking a well rounded Business Analyst

Key objectives for this effort are:

Establish and execute standard Technology Product governance framework from on-boarding to disposal for the firm

Rationalize Third Party software footprint

Streamline new third party software on-boarding process

Key Responsibilities include
:

Work with other IT (internal and external) partners to analyze the data, identify the gaps/data patterns to develop insights.

Support data quality monitoring and remediation process.

Work with functional business areas and other IT Client to elicit and document business requirements and be responsible for ensuring the requirements are clear, concise, detailed, accurate, documented, testable, and traceable through the project lifecycle.

Work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals.

Communicate with business users in an effective manner to clearly articulate complex problems and come up with approaches to solve the gaps via regular meetings, emails.

Manage third party software portfolio of existing third party assets in inventory, in-flight on-boarding and other on-going strategic & BAU programs of work.

Analyze new software pipeline for the domain(s)

Ensure the existing software have valid business capability mapping at an application and component level

Drive defined standards and ensure all artifacts are updated if/when there are changes to guidelines.

Work with architecture committees at the LOB and GT levels to stay on top of guidelines

Evaluate new software capability vs. business capability

Work with technology users and application owners to ensure software need vs. capabilities

Identify opportunities to leverage existing software that meets the technology need

Qualifications:

BS/BA degree or equivalent experience

5+ years of experience in analysis or application development in the financial sector

Ability to query and analyze data and perform data profiling using SQL and reporting tools.

Working technical knowledge of desktops, systems, networks, application development, and methodologies

Working knowledge in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines

Superior analytical skills, to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, assess risk, reconcile conflicts, transform high-level information into details, prioritize user requests from the underlying true needs for the business as a whole, and understand the difference between solution ideas and business requirements and to distinguish clearly between them.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a meticulous attention to details and process skills.

Organizational and Time Management skills, to work in a fast-paced environment, on multiple projects and tasks concurrently, while also working with the vast array of information gathered during requirement elicitation and analysis and to manage rapidly changing information and priorities.
