BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE DEVELOPER - AZURE

North Dallas/Addison, TX

We are hiring a Business Intelligence Developer with strong Azure experience for a growing Healthcare client! This will be a resource on our Client’s growing BI and Data team.

The BI Developer with Azure experience will provide technical leadership for data warehouse and data lake implementations, creating the opportunity to do both development and architecture.

What You’ll Do:

Design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance of data warehouse solution

Coordinate with other team members and managers to translate business needs into technical solutions and provide technical assistance to users pulling data from our
Client’s self-service environment

Troubleshoot issues in cubes, ETL packages and databases to identify and solve problems with data accuracy and performance

Evaluate and monitor databases to resolve performance issues.

Develop, deploy, maintain and debug SSIS packages.

Develop, test and maintain MS SQL Server databases.

Work with Business Analysts to aid in the design of the system.

Investigate and resolve problems of data accuracy and availability

Participate in integral testing to identify problems early.

Perform error and stress scenarios.

Participate in design and code reviews.

Identify architectural issues and propose alternative solutions.

Install upgrades and patches to existing databases.

Develop and maintain data warehouse documentation.

Design and implement data pipelines to prepare, process and organize data in the warehouse.

Develop functional specifications for data acquisition, transformation and load processes.

Ensure data integration/ETL is implemented & monitored successfully to enable data quality, and on time availability.

Analyzes current business practices, processes and procedures as well as identifying future business opportunities for leveraging Microsoft Azure Data & Analytics PaaS
Services.

Support the planning and implementation of data design services, providing sizing and configuration assistance and performing needs assessments.

Expose data to end users using Power BI or any other visualization platform or experience.

Implement effective metrics and monitoring processes.

Skills/Experience You’ll Need:

5+ years of relevant experience in developing and maintaining data warehouse schematics, layouts, architectures and relational/non-relational databases for data access and Advanced Analytics.

Must have experience with data lake and/or data warehouse implementations
2+ years of experience in Azure Data Factory.

Needs to have an understanding of the overall solution design of how Power BI and Azure Analysis Services (AAS) fits into Azure architecture

Experience with delivery of transformations and modernizations of enterprise data solutions using Azure cloud data technologies.

Excellent knowledge in sources and ETL products like (SSIS, and Azure Data Factory).

Experience in business processing mapping of data and analytics solutions.

Ability to conduct data profiling, cataloging, and mapping for technical design and construction of technical data flows.

Knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL DW, and Azure SQL, Azure App Service is required.

Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Quality tools and processes

SQL programming, server integration, and reporting

Curiosity and passion about data, visualization and solving problems

Creativity to determine the best solution for a real-world problem with quantitative data

Experience with reporting, descriptive statistics, probability, and cleaning big datasets

Willingness to question the validity, accuracy of data and assumptions
