Job Description

Our client is seeking an exceptional and detail-oriented candidate to join the Internal Audit Team.

The candidate will be reporting directly to the Head of Technology Internal Audit and will partner with the Business Audit teams.

The candidate will join a highly collaborative and dynamic team responsible for assessing and reviewing the firm's IT risks and control environments.

In addition to technical skills, the ideal candidate will demonstrate an ability to understand how IT integrates with the business functions (Securities, Investments, Insurance, and Shared Services).

The candidate will have experience with auditing applications, their underlying infrastructure (databases, operating systems, etc.), and have knowledge of information security controls and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001/2).

Specific Responsibilities Include

Assistance in evaluating the design and operating effectiveness of technology controls, including, but not limited to Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Logical Security, Data interfaces, availability / redundancy, and Cyber / Info security.

Preparing supporting evidence (work papers) which clearly describes the audit procedures performed, results of testing and conclusions reached for various processes.

Designing technology diagrams (flowcharts) detailing the systems and their dependencies during the audit process.

Assisting with the Department's data analytics efforts and Internal Audit report preparation.

Assisting in the development and tracking of control recommendations for corrective action / improvement.

Skills & Experience Required

Four (4) to seven (7) years of experience working as an IT auditor or in an IT role in a complex highly regulated financial services firm.

Ability to perform risk-based audits and execute an Information Technology General Controls ('ITGC') audit program is required.

Knowledge of information technology security and control frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001/2, COBIT5) to mitigate cybersecurity risks is required.

Understanding of technology platforms (e.g., Microsoft TFS, Octopus, JIRA, Altiris, ServiceNow, Active Directory) and technology languages (e.g., SQL, Java, Python) is
strongly preferred.

Must be a 'team player' and have a positive, energetic approach towards collaborative efforts.

Must be able to prioritize tasks, work efficiently, and be self-motivated.

Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and attention to detail is required.

Understanding of the Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) is required.
