SENIOR NETWORK ENGINEER
CONTRACT-TO-HIRE
DALLAS/FARMERS BRANCH, TX
POSITION:
ICS is looking for a Senior Network Engineer, who thrives being in a "jack-of-all-trades " environment, to join our growing Financial Services client's team! The Senior Network Engineer is responsible to perform highly complex duties in the design, development, installation, integration, administration and maintenance of the company's multi-site LAN/WAN infrastructure.
You will contribute to the strategic vision, serve as the top-level contributor, and be a lead for the most complex IT Infrastructure initiatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assessing near- and long-term network capacity needs.
Designing and deploying LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including, routers, hubs, switches, VOIP and other network hardware.
Maintaining reliable, robust, and secure operations of the network environment.
Provisioning, monitoring and managing the network infrastructure.
Monitoring, updating, upgrading and maintaining physical hardware within the datacenters.
Validating configuration and operation of network equipment.
Developing documentation and diagraming of infrastructure and network topology changes.
Developing the required engineering documentation and providing support to include systems patching, upgrading, security hardening, implementing corrective actions.
Assisting in design and implementation of technologies to provide Disaster Recovery.
Managing Ticket pipeline within stated SLA's.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma required, Bachelor's degree preferred (Information Systems, Computer Science or Engineering) preferred or equivalent work experience
8+ years' experience working in network administration within an IT organization
Cisco Networking–Expert - CCNP required
Previous large project experience is preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Expert Level Cisco ASA and Nexus Experience
Expert Level Cisco Layer 2 and 3 Switch Experience
Expert Level LAN/WAN Design and Implementation
VOIP experience
