Lead Data Scientist
RESPONSIBILITIES
Efficiently solve problems with well designed, reviewed, and tested technical solutions
Collaborate with the engineering team to share, improve, and expand our collective
knowledge, best practices, new technologies and processes
Own the architecture and development of our evolving data eco-system
Work hand in hand with product, strategy, analytics and the rest of the company to enable new
and exciting ways for us to use data
Support our existing infrastructure and production services
Work as part of a team that doesn’t set boundaries around what its responsibilities are, rather
focuses on the next most impactful thing it can do for the company
DESIRED EXPERIENCE
Excited to fully own systems, coding all layers of our stack from the models that power our search
and the infrastructure that runs all of it to dashboards and front-ends
Love of writing well structured, readable, and well-tested code and an interest in best practice
Enthusiastic about the power of data and what the future holds by harnessing it; up-to-date with
current research and best practices
Team player that can work with people at all levels and departments to advocate for new and turn
existing requirements into impactful capabilities
Ping-pong skills a plus
DESIRED SKILLS
Scala, Spark, Python, Flask, TensorFlow, Javascript
Redshift, S3, Dynamodb, Lambda, Kinesis, EMR, AWS data stack
ElasticSearch
Deep understanding of current data science best practices around the following domains:
NLP,
image recognition, audio/video analysis, search, predictive analytics and more
Data Architect
