Job Description

Help Desk Support - 1st Shift

We are working with a well established global logistics firm based in the north burbs of Chicago.

They are currently looking to add to their Help Desk team to support their users at all their locations.

This is a fast=paced environment and the Help Desk Support person will be required to interact directly with customers and partners so strong communication skills are a must.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

BS/BA in Computer Science, preferred. A.A or Technical Degree acceptable.

3-5 years’ experience.

Understanding of Infrastructure, Business Applications, and Help Desk technology.

Well-developed knowledge of system application, systems management, data communication including basic networking in LAN/WAN environment and remote access solutions.

Superior analytical, organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Experience supporting mobile devices (iOS & Android)

Excellent communication skills

Ability to handle multiple tasks and work well under pressure is a requirement

Ability to handle all aspects of a task from analysis to resolution

Key responsibilities:

First line of support for IT platform trouble tickets

Provide technical support for all hardware, software, and network issues

Network account maintenance using Active Directory and Exchange 2010

Point of contact for all software application suites

Ensure virus protection is updated and working properly

Document, track, and monitor problems to ensure timely resolution

Learn new technologies

Understand end-user workflow

Identify and resolve technical application issues

Execute complex tasks with details-driven approach

Resolve issues over the phone, in person or remotely

Travel as required for new station set-ups

Quality Assurance Testing

Comply with Security guidelines

Work different shift times when needed
