The Infrastructure Service Administrator, is a role than spans across a number of Infrastructure teams and is responsible for the day to day support of the firm’s Network, Data Centre and Telecommunication infrastructure on a global basis.
The role will be responsible for maintaining, administering and monitoring, all aspects of hardware, software and management, including but not limited to: Routers/Switches, Wide Area & Local Area Networks, Load balancing, Internet connectivity, Wireless, Optimisation Appliances, Server, Storage, Backup environments, video-telephony, voicemail and where applicable video conferencing.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for globally maintaining, configuring and administering, hardware and software that form the foundation of the firms network, telephony, compute, storage and backup environments
Responsible globally for systems monitoring, ensuring all systems have monitoring enabled and are properly configured, and that all global system alerts are responded to, and appropriate action is taken on those alerts
Responsible for the upkeep of all of records relating to infrastructure equipment installed at our data centers and remote office facilities
Responsible for ensuring all team, departmental and firm policies and procedures are adhered to, including change management and service continuity
Responsible for management of escalated network, data center and telephony related tickets in accordance with local, regional and global Customer Services standards and processes
Responsible for timely and accurate completion of all administrative tasks (time tracking, project and task updates, status reports, responding to email, etc.)
Responsible for providing global on-call support
Other duties and projects as required
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in the field of Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent experience
Knowledge of configuring, implementing and troubleshooting routing, switching and firewall architecture is required (2+ years, would be preferred)
Knowledge of Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco Unity Connection, Cisco IM and
Presence Service, Cisco Unified Border Element is required (2+ years, would be preferred)
Knowledge of Microsoft Server, VMWare, Enterprise Storage and Backup Systems is required (2+ years, would be preferred)
Knowledge of working with network, IP Telecommunication networks, protocols, standards, QoS and operations is required (2+ years, would be preferred)
Knowledge of configuring, implementing and troubleshooting infrastructure technologies is required (2+ years, would be preferred)
Experience working with infrastructure monitoring tools is required (2+ years, is preferred)
Experience working within an IT operational environment is preferred
Experience working in a globally dispersed environment is preferred
