Job Description

We are looking for a Tax Senior for a leading global firm HQ'd in Miami

Responsibilities

The Tax Senior will preparation and review of the quarterly and year-end global tax provision under ASC 740

Responsible for the timely preparation of the US international tax return(s) and completing work papers with detailed support and documentation to allow for audit readiness, including the preparation of data and relevant calculations for Forms 5471s, 8858s and 8865s

Work with Fixed Asset Manager to maintain accurate and reliable data, values and information related to tax basis, regular tax depreciation, and AMT

Assist with SOX compliance

Conduct or assist with domestic tax audits and appeals.

Conduct research and prepare memos, primarily on US tax issues, but may also include foreign tax issues

Assist with tax planning and strategies implementation

Qualifications

The Tax Senior will have 4 years plus working experience with BIG 4 and/or corporate tax department

BA in Accounting or Finance

Master of Taxation preferred

Hands-on working experience in ASC 740/FIN48 preferred

Hands-on working experience in US international tax compliance preferred

Demonstrated technical strength and knowledge related to tax accounting and income tax preparation

Self starter with strong accounting, analytical, creative problem-solving and project management skills

Ability to recognize, understand, and analyze complex issues

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management in an organization

Must be well-organized, hands on and detail oriented

Able to work independently and as part of a team

Excellent communication and writing skills
