Job Description

Infinity Consulting Solutions (ICS) is currently seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer for a contract-to-hire opportunity with one of our clients in the Columbus, Ohio area.

Description: This role is for an experienced software engineer within the Tech Strategy, Engineering, and Architecture engineering team.

A key feature will be the implementation of a process by which Free & Open Source Software (F/OSS) is consumed internally - including the creation of a Bill of Materials (BOM) and identification of all vulnerabilities.

An advanced grasp and understanding of how applications are built (Java through Maven/Gradle, JavaScript/npm, Python and others) is essential.

The teams first focus will be developing the foundational tools and practices for SDLC process.

These processes will focus on continuous integration & deployments with success criteria measured with the increase of throughput and decrease of lead time.

Responsibilities include:
working on a feature team delivering solutions to problems that affect the delivery of quality code, delivery of secure code and delivery of application code in a timely fashion.

Such responsibilities include working on technologies including Spinnaker, Kubernetes, AWS, Docker, BlackDuck, OWASP, Artifactory and others.

Strong knowledge of techniques such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Test Driven Development, Cloud Development, Application Resiliency and Security.

Hand-on experience with cloud-based applications, technologies and tools, deployment, monitoring and operations.

Required Skills / Experience:

10+ years of Software Engineering experience, using one or more object oriented / functional programming languages and/or scripting knowledge of SDLC tooling such as Jenkins, Artifactory, Docker, Spinnaker, Black Duck / XRay, AWS, Kubernetes.

Strong experience in two or more of the following areas:

- Strong knowledge of techniques such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Test Driven Development, Cloud Development, Application Resiliency and Security

Hand-on experience with cloud-based applications, technologies and tools, deployment, monitoring and operations.

- Exceptional problem solving and deductive reasoning ability

- Strong curiosity and bias for pro-active planning, action, ownership, learning and continuous improvement.

- Ability to clearly articulate ideas, problem/solution/business value descriptions that can be understood by a broad audience in a time sensitive environment
