Description
We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer with a solid background in Python to work with our agile engineering organization.
This individual will be central in driving selected features into our base products, including data management, data science, and web app maintenance and development
Responsibilities
Be responsible for rapid prototyping of functional and compelling demos and data-driven products
Work closely with our agile engineering development teams, readily accepting and displaying ownership of the team's responsibilities.
Complete projects in the required time under the supervision and/or in concert with a senior team member.
Document, communicate and drive selected features into our base products
Interface with Data Scientists, Customers, and other stakeholders to capture and/or refine requirements and understanding of needs.
Required qualifications
Must have at least 2+ years' experience building real-world Python based application-level products.
A basic understanding of Object Oriented design, data structures and coding principles, including abstraction, encapsulation, inheritance, and polymorphism in Python.
Solid experience with Python machine learning and data libraries.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable with presenting.
BS or MS preferred
Desired additional experience/skills
Experience developing unit and integration testing in an agile environment
Experience implementing complex enterprise/productivity applications is advantageous
Experience in rapid prototyping, Scrum and agile methodologies a plus.
Experience with containerization and clouds a plus.
