DATA SCIENTIST

Seeking an experienced Data Scientist for an established and growing marketing/data analytics organization.

As the Data Scientist, you will work with clients to use models and algorithms to create data driven marketing activations.

The ideal candidate will have a background in a technical field, will have experience working with diverse data sets and will have experience in data-driven decision making.
You should be focused on business results, a self-starter and have demonstrated success in using statistical modeling to drive the education, progression and acquisition of a consumer.

The Data Scientist must be passionate about mathematics and innovation to help our clients better leverage data and technology to fuel better business outcomes.

As a Data Scientist, you will have a critical role throughout the exploratory data analysis process using your business intuition and strong technical analytics expertise to develop analyses.

Your work will be focused on understanding, evaluating, and improving our client's marketing efforts.

You will interface with a multi-disciplinary team of creative marketing managers, solution architects, data engineers, and strategists while working on developing new analyses and products.

Responsibilities

Develop models and uncover insights that help understand consumer behaviors and demonstrate the value to the client.

Build and optimize machine learning algorithms to enable decision making in order to help the client optimize customer experience/reduce cost/maximize profits or customer value.

Uncover opportunities for new products and services to improve or better understand the client's business and marketing activities, often developing proof-of-concepts and prototypes.

Mine disparate datasets to extract useful marketing insights

Adapt to a quickly changing environment and interact with a broad customer base with diverse needs and functional responsibilities.

Requirements:

BS in math, finance, engineering, statistics, or related discipline is required.

2+ years of professional experience as a Data Scientist

Proficient in SQL, Spark, Scala

Advanced proficiency with statistical modeling tools: R and Python, including experience with various data science libraries such as pandas, scikit-learn, SciPy, NumPy, Jupyter, and PySpark.

Ability to translate business objectives and problems into analytical problems, and use quantitative/qualitative skills to deliver simple, logical and actionable solutions.

Advanced knowledge of statistics

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred familiarity with online advertising and marketing applications of data
