IOS Developer

3-month Contract to Hire

$100.00/hour - 115.00/hour

How you'll make an impact

Currently looking for a strong iOS engineer in our San Francisco office.

The role is responsible for collaborating with product and design to create beautiful user experiences for our new Expenses application. Our new app reimagines expense reporting for small business and includes features such as OCR / Client and geolocation.

What you'll do

Design, develop and deliver beautiful user experiences and software.

Partner with product and design to play a part in executing product strategy and roadmap.

Develop robust, high quality software to be consumed on a massive scale. Our platform of more than 1.4 million small businesses is growing rapidly meaning our products need to consider our global reach.

Work closely with team members to ensure a high standard of quality and testing throughout the development cycle.

Define and improve the software architecture and designs to make sure we're able to
deliver fast with high quality.

Mentor junior developers to become high impact contributors.

Success looks like:

We have existing commitments to deliver features in market as quickly as possible, so an ability to plan quickly and effectively, and to hit the ground running with a focus on delivery will be highly valued.

You'll build solid, production-ready software fully covered by unit tests and with an efficient deployment pipeline.

You will also be a team player and a great communicator, as you will be required to interact with both internal and external stakeholders and your manager regularly in the course of your duties.

What you'll bring with you

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience

5+ years professional development experience

3+ years of iOS development experience

Passion and knowledge for Swift

Be able to write testable code, as well as automated tests for your own work

Ability to work as part of a team and able to take pride and ownership in their work

Have initiative and a passion for all things mobile and a willingness to go the extra mile

Ability to work with both remote and co-located developers and other team members

Ability to direct, review and guide a team of developers in delivering features

Experience with Agile and/or Scrum development methodologies

Nice to have

Experience with AWS, ECS, Node.js, JavaScript, RxSwift, PromiseKit

Experience with CI/CD workflows for mobile eg: Jenkins, TeamCity, Fastlane
