Tax Manager

Plano, TX

Growing company in Plano is seeking to add a Tax Manager to their team and is looking for a tax expert with a strong business tax background.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in compliance, partnerships and an ability to run projects independently.

Responsibilities

Provide tax compliance and advisory services for partnerships M&A divisions, restructurings

Assist in providing expertise and analysis to partners, legal team, finance team and across divisions to ensure understanding of process

Prepare analysis for partner capital accounts including 743(b) adjustments, 704(b) book, 704(c) allocations

Manage tax return compliance process, relationship with external tax partners and assist in tax audit projects, ad hoc projects

Research and consult on complex tax returns, demonstrate understanding of tax return processes and financial statements

Coordinate development of planning activities on engagements including time budgets

Thorough understanding of tax return compliance, tax analysis, schedules, schedules K-1 and related general business planning knowledge

Ability to plan, perform and deliver work independently

Ensure that deliverables are clear, concise and within guidelines, implement processes that improve processes within tax department

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA preferred

4-7 years accounting experience, including preparation of advanced financial statements

Preferably 1-2 public accounting experience

Advanced knowledge of GAAP and technical accounting

Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills
