Job Description

Senior Internal Auditor

Fort Worth, TX

Responsibilities

Participate in the development and execution of test plans based on an assessment of operational, compliance and financial risks throughout the corporation.

Complete an effective internal audit program to assess risk and test internal controls.

Ensure compliance, developing compliance policies and procedure for system controls.

Compile, test and document internal controls, policies and procedures for internal controls.

Analyze data obtained for evidence of deficiencies of controls, duplication of effort, fraud or lack of compliance.

Demonstrate interest and willingness to take on special projects including process improvement projects, operational risk assessments, data analytics analysis and controls optimization projects.

Analyze data for deficiencies, duplication of effort, fraud or lack of compliance.

Meet audit project budgets and deadlines.

Maintain excellent communication with every level of employee. Work well both
independently and as a team and assist with meeting deadlines.

Prepare and report audit findings to Audit Committee and Board of Directors to communicate risks, provide recommendations for business process improvements and internal controls.

Requirements

5+ years of audit experience, preferably public

Displayed experience within financial services industry audit, highly preferred

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

CPA, CIA and/or CISA completed, preferred

Knowledge of VBA, SQL preferred, advanced Excel

Demonstrate high sense of urgency and drive for results

Excellent communication, presentation and analytical skills
