Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead their IT department.

The IT manager plays an essential role in managing corporate systems and networks with a strong focus on uptime & security, ensuring a positive end user experience for customers and employees alike, and executing the overall IT strategy.

The ideal IT Manager has a strong work ethic, is highly organized, seeks to improve processes and procedures, and has strong project management skills.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Develop and implement IT policy and best practices for the organization.
Regularly audit internal systems and practices to meet performance, security and
availability objectives.

Provide technical assistance and support for issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware onsite and remotely.

Oversee and determine project plans for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations, and outages.

Work with Information Security staff to ensure compliance and regulatory obligations are met.

Work closely with internal departments to understand individual needs and future requirements.

Implement and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans including periodic testing.

Automate repeatable tasks and continue to improve and streamline IT process and services.

Optimize Microsoft Office 365 services and introduce new features to staff.

Design training and information security programs and workshops for staff.

Develop and maintain detailed records of equipment/assets and software licensing to ensure compliance with applicable licensing agreements.

Manage and report on allocation of IT budget.

Provide direction and coaching for IT team members.

Requirements:

3+ years in Information Technology management.

Comprehensive understanding of Enterprise IT Architecture (Servers, Storage, Networking).

Strong knowledge and experience in administering Windows Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft Server/Desktop operating systems.

Linux command-line administration experience. CentOS/Ubuntu preferred.

Experience with administering VMware vSphere clusters and complementing backup/DR software such as Veeam Backup & Replication, Zerto, and SRM.

Experience with firewall administration (DNAT, SNAT, security policies), SSLVPN administration, and general network/switch knowledge (VLAN tagging, port trunking, layer
3 routing protocols). Juniper and Fortigate experience preferred.

Strong experience in local Office 365 application & cloud administration.

Experience with telephony and user conferencing systems (Skype for Business preferred).

Ability to multi-task effectively. Strong problem solving and critical thinking ability is required.

Strong detail-oriented written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Certification(s):

Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert

MCSE: Core Infrastructure

VMware VCP6.5-DCV or VCP-DCV2019
