DATA ENGINEER A growing national financial data organization is actively seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join their local team. The Data Engineer should have good experience in C++ and will focus on managing and developing market data feeds utilizing Wombat and Queue technologies to distribute low latency Market Data. You will also be responsible for managing the existing infrastructure based on Active/RabbitMQ. The ideal candidate must be able to investigate new technologies and industry best practices for managing large data streams and a willingness to learn in a fast-moving environment a must. Python and prior Market Data experience a plus. Excellent communication skills are required. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field preferred Strong knowledge of C++ and Python Strong knowledge of Linux, ActiveMQ Strong knowledge of data structures. Production experience with large data sets. PLUS: Working knowledge of Java PLUS: Knowledge of market data PLUS: Knowledge of wombat and MAMA and PAPA API PLUS: Knowledge of open source Queue technologies (RabbitMQ/Kafka)
