About our client:

Our client manages a global Flagship Fund as well as a European Fund, which focus on long/short credit and event-driven opportunities.

They pursue a wide array of investments, including distressed, stressed and out-of-favor situations, shorting of investment grade and high yield debt, capital structure trades, special situations involving spin-offs, litigation plays or other events, and deep value situations where we believe there is a particular catalyst that will unlock that value.
Accordingly, they invest in instruments throughout the capital structure (including corporate bonds, bank debt, trade claims, equities, credit default swaps, options and other derivative instruments) and across a broad spectrum of companies and industries.
Though investments are concentrated in the U.S. and Europe, we pursue opportunities globally, including in Canada, South America, Australia and Asia.

DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW

TECHNOLOGY

The Technology Team currently consists of 35 individuals, of which 21 are dedicated to development and 14 are focused on systems engineering and technology support.

Working directly with all areas of the Firm, the Technology Department plays a critical role in maintaining a seamless infrastructure and in developing proprietary solutions tailored to the Firm's investment activities and operations.

In particular, the Development group is heavily involved in building custom tools for risk management, research, trading, cash and position reconciliation, pricing, P&L attribution, collateral management, fund accounting, and investor relations.

The Infrastructure group is responsible for enhancing and maintaining the Firms network and server infrastructure and providing global support for our end users.

Senior C# Developer

JOB DESCRIPTION

Individual should be a C# Developer ideally with WPF experience who is passionate about designing the entire user experience. Individual will have lots of interaction with the business soliciting feedback and showing scenario designs.

Individual should have a good sense of general programming algorithms and be comfortable interacting with large sets of data.

REQUIREMENTS

4+ years of experience; WPF/UI experience a plus

Strong .Net skills with proficiency in C#

Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture, multi-threading, publish/subscribe and event-driven programming models

Web development experience a plus

Finance experience a plus

Hardworking a self-starter and a quick learner

Must be highly motivated and able to work in a team environment

Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills required
