Financial Analyst

We are looking for an Analyst to join our Power & Renewables team in Houston

The Analyst will perform credit analysis, due diligence and review of documents, and manage the ongoing assessment of clients within the portfolio.

The Power & Renewables team maintains a high quality standard and requires a bold, curious and responsible Analyst with extreme attention to detail and procedures.

The Analyst will be an integral member of the deal team and gain knowledge of the power market, bank financing practice and other financial products.

The Analyst will sit within the Corporate Banking Division that covers several industry sectors including Power and Renewables, Healthcare, Communications and Technology, Manufacturing and Packaging.

In North America, Power and Renewables are managed from Houston, with the remaining industries managed from New York.

Analyst main areas of responsibility:

• Analysis-related tasks: Cash flow modelling, credit, financial, markets, etc

• Preparation of credit memos in cooperation with the deal team

• Remain up-to-date with developments in the power market/ industry

• Remain up-to-date with DNB's strategy/ products/ credit risk guidelines

Competence requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; Master's degree preferred

• Knowledge: Intermediate understanding of Accounting and Finance; advanced Excel skills; strategic understanding of corporate structures & capitalization

Analyst required professional experience:

• Minimum 1-3 years relevant credit experience, including excel modelling, preferable complex credit and corporate structures, in one or more of the following US banking areas:

o Energy
o Corporate Banking

Analyst Opportunities:

You will be an integral member of the deal team and gain a deep understanding of banking, credit and Power & Renewables.

You will work in conjunction with other offices globally to service existing and prospective clients.

In addition to developing your analytical skills, you will be given the opportunity to develop your marketing and relationship skills.
