Contract Opportunity

This role will lead the project management tasks of the Unemployment Insurance Modernization (UIM) project Phase 2 in accordance with the approved solution architecture.

This role will also assist in the coordination of timely , in scope delivery of project artifacts as it relates to the data defects, interfaces and reports.

This role will work with the UIM Scrum Master, UIM Solution Architect, other team members.



The Project Manager will implement strategic objectives of project according to the schedule and defined budget.



Job Duties:

- Coordinating the efforts of team members in order to deliver projects according to plan.

- Define the project’s objectives with the solution architect based on the current status and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle, using proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills in order to maximize the benefit of Agency’s investment.

- Will be self-sufficient in performing the responsibilities, including project related decisions, requiring little supervision, but general guidance and direction.

- Will work with the Agency and Vendor to prepare for management meetings.

- Will provide accurate and easy to comprehend graphics related to the performance and execution of tasks related to the UIM project team, and when applicable and part of the work assigned to the Enterprise Application team, their performance.

- Shall have hands on experience managing scrum teams and Agile development methodology to assist and mentor the Enterprise Application team when working on the UIM project

- Maintained detailed budget information related to the project and able to provide a forecast of expected resource expenses.

- Escalate problems as necessary to ensure awareness and seek assistance with resolution when necessary

- Track, manage, and adjust the original plan as necessary to ensure successful delivery

- Communicate effectively to all project stakeholders and provide regular status reports to stakeholders, sponsors, the enterprise, and others involved in the project

- Effectively coordinate with the various technology, business, and the vendor team to ensure the project’s success

- All work shall be performed in a way aligned with the business needs, contract requirements, end users and with the approved technical architecture.



Qualifications:

- 6-10 years’ direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution, in an IT environment

- Demonstrates advanced knowledge and skills related to project management including Agile methodology

- PMP or Scrum Master certification

- Strong written and oral communication skills to appropriate levels within the sponsoring business areas

- Strong interpersonal skills with appropriate levels within the sponsoring business areas

- Team Player: Working well in a collaborative setting. Acts as a resource to resources with less experience



Preferred qualifications:

- PMP certification

- TFS/Azure DevOps experience
