Internal Audit Supervisor

Responsibilities

Plan, develop and execute audit procedures – primary focus on financial audit, operational activities, regulatory audits, internal control reviews, SOX compliance

Evaluate processes to ensure controls, accuracy of accounting and reporting, efficiency of business processes and compliance

Manage a broad comprehensive program of internal auditing including compliance, financial, operational and IT audits

Administer the annual strategic risk assessment program, long and short-term risk-based audit plans

Coordinate internal and external audit efforts

Work closely with the Director of Audit to manage SOX compliance program

Administer financial, operational and compliance audits of company's controls, processes and operations

Execute annual SOX testing plan, based on an assessment of Business/Financial risk

Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, developing compliance policies and procedure for system controls

Provide recommendations for business process improvements and internal controls with various levels of management

Administers the appropriate internal control environment for the company, including
Sarbanes-Oxley implementation and internal audit

Participate in the development of company standards for monitoring issues, oversee internal audit quality assurance program

Conducts field audits. Submits audit findings and prepares recommendations that will be presented to senior management and external auditors

Analyze data for deficiencies, duplication of effort, fraud or lack of compliance

Mentor and train audit associates

Maintain excellent communication with every level of employee

Requirements

4+ years of accounting audit experience, both financial and operational

Master's Degree in Accounting or related Field

CIA, CPA highly preferred

Supervisory/Management skills

Knowledge of ERP systems, advanced Excel

Thorough understanding of SOX compliance, GAAP and accounting controls

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Self-starter and independent worker
