Position Summary:
Contribute to an analytics program developing new and enhancing existing systems
Work to alter existing on-prem solutions to cloud first architectures
Perform data tier activities in accordance to team/corporate patterns and practices
Work with DevOps to ensure continuous delivery and improvement
Work with architects and product management daily to achieve the best results
Position Requirements:
3+ years of relevant professional experience
1+ year of experience in software development within an organization focused on high volume data management and analytics
1+ year of experience with data/application integration, message bus architectures, and/or transformation/ETL implementations
Solid experience/skills in python and scientific libraries
Experience with Linux/Unix environment, including build tools, debug tools, data analysis tools, and application profiling tools
Automated build and deployment of data stores
Experience with various languages (i.e. Python, Java, C++, Spark, etc.).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Professional Experience in/with: Application development and object-oriented design, CI/CD, Agile or iterative development methodology, Cloud architectures and usages prefer cloud-first design and AWS, Geospatial data generation, querying, storage, analysis, Highly available and scalable data systems, High performance architectures, Data analysis, data modeling, and data flow design, Decision support systems, data warehousing, or analytical data stores, Historical data storage and analysis patterns and architectures.
