Job Description

The Financial Reporting Senior Accountant will be responsible for a diverse range of duties to ensure issues and activities are accounted for accurately and timely.

This requires a candidate who possesses a willingness to handle a broad view of financial accounting and reporting matters.

Responsibilities

The Financial Reporting Senior Accountant will assist in the preparation of the 10-Q and 10-K including financial statements, footnote disclosures and MD&A;

Support the general accounting process for external financial reporting;

Conduct technical accounting research for non-standard transactions;

Assist with the evaluation of new accounting standards including implementation of accounting standards updates;

Prepare accounting documentation and journal entries related to share-based compensation, investments, interest rate swap hedges, debt, and other accounts as needed;

Support the preparation of board presentations;

Prepare various reconciliations, analytical analyses and balance sheet reconciliations for internal and external use;

Ensure compliance with policies and procedures and maintain compliance with a system of internal controls;

Ensure compliance with the credit agreement covenants by preparing debt compliance calculation and other calculations as needed;

Prepare financial audit materials, and coordinate with the external auditor’s staff;

Interact with various levels of staff throughout the organization to obtain information and/or resolve issues for assigned tasks, accounts and/or legal entities;

Assist in the preparation of statutory audit filings;

Complete special projects as necessary; and

Other ad hoc duties as required.

Qualifications

The Financial Reporting Senior Accountant will have a CPA required;

3+ years of experience with accounting;

Experience in public accounting and/or publicly traded companies required;

Strong Excel and systems abilities;

Attention to detail and an ability to multi-task;

Strong interpersonal skills, effective oral and written communication skills;

Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, organizational savvy, and strong initiative and the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines; and

Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP.
