Job Description
The Senior Tax Manager will be a key contributor to the corporate tax function, reporting to the Tax Director.
The right individual is someone who can manage internal and external resources and participate in all areas of taxes including tax compliance, tax audits, US and Foreign income tax provision and involvement with IFRS basis calculation.
Duties and working experiences is expected to be diversified from quarter to quarter on the following areas:
The Senior Tax Manage will have internal resources and external tax consultants to prepare the Company’s annual and quarterly ASC 740 (SFAS 109) tax provision and related footnote disclosures for SEC filing including the annual effective tax rate, income tax payable, uncertain tax benefits, and foreign tax provision
Design and maintain the working papers and to support tax reporting and compliance and internal control requests related to taxes (provision, deferred taxes, current payable, FIN48, etc.)
Manage U.S. tax compliance and/ or foreign tax compliance, working closely with outside tax advisors and service providers
Assist with the review and/ or preparation of the income tax memoranda to support the analysis and conclusion for various complex transactions
Maintain, document, and develop income tax related internal controls
Identify process improvements for various tax processes, implement changes for best practices
Actively partner with business teams and support Company initiatives and ensure that tax risks are identified, considered, communicated
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and 3-4 years of people management experience
Post-graduate work is desirable
OR equivalent combination of education and years of related experience
Preferred Requirements
The Senior Tax Manager will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or another related program
6 10 years combined experience in both public accounting and multinational high-tech industry
CPA and/or advance degrees is preferred
Proficient in US (federal and state) income tax and ASC 740 concepts
Strong analytic and problem-solving abilities, able to research complex tax matters
Positive attitude and willingness to learn and take on challenges and adapt to a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently and build and maintain working relationships with global teams
Must be a self-starter who handles multiple projects with competing priorities with minimum supervision
