IT Business Analyst

6- month contract to hire

$40 - $43 / Hour

The Retail & Operations (R&O) Analyst's focuses on the efficiency and effectiveness of our client's Point of Sale (POS) by managing the application operation, providing analysis and supporting recommendations to the Retail and Operations teams.

This position will assist in driving new initiatives and reporting requirements.

The Analyst serves as a champion and model of our values – "FACE IT” which incorporates fun, accountability, collaboration, empowerment, innovation, and transparency in all that we do.

In collaboration with Retail & Operations and IT, The Retail & Operations Analyst has an in-depth
understanding of business and system areas related to POS by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Acts as primary on any related POS issues; in existing and new retail stores. Provides specialized POS training for all Retail management and staff.

Responsible for PCI compliance adherence for all Retail personnel as outline in company policy Works with other business units to help drive strategy for new and existing discounts, loyalty plans, inventory items/pricing.

Responsible for the development and managing applicable interfaces between POS and legacy applications.

Collaborates with user and system personnel to determine and document POS information processing and reporting requirements.

Creates Business Intelligence reports using Tableau and other data platforms for Retail business strategy development.

Creates and documents data verification methods and standard systems procedures. Prepares, manages, and updates documentation related to POS.

Works in partnership with vendors to design high-quality, high-availability systems and processes.

Maintains professional relationships with all internal and external stakeholders to promote and represent the organization.

Spearheads project planning for all POS strategic design.

Tests and documents enhancements and features.

Tests new POS releases/enhancements for back office computer systems for all concepts; Takes corrective action on any discovered defects.

Works closely with Product vendor on testing and executing deployment plans for software releases, new image releases, and store installations.

Takes ownership and is accountable for job responsibilities. Follows through on commitments.

Makes quality strategic/tactical decisions utilizing analysis, experience, judgment and input from others; then acts decisively.

Completes assignments, projects, reports, and paperwork accurately and timely.

Qualifications

Must have proven knowledge of Client Counterpoint or other retail POS system
proven experience with relational databases, solid SQL database design, structure, functions, processing and report building tools (SSRS, Crystal, Tableau, etc.).

Tableau report development is desired.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or University in Business Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a minimum of seven (7) years Information Systems experience and/or training in a non-profit, retail and operations services environment.
