ServiceNow Developer

Responsibilities

Develop ServiceNow software solutions using JavaScript, Jelly, one or more Web Services, MYSQL, XML, HTML and CSS

Solution and provide requested enhancements to existing ServiceNow applications

Develop and deliver customized portal web pages in ServiceNow using Bootstrap and AngularJS JavaScript frameworks

Work with functional teams and the Systems Administrator to deliver automated workflow solutions in ServiceNow

Advanced scripting of business rules, UI Policies, Client Scripts, ACLs, Workflow Activities, etc.

3rd party software integrations with ServiceNow

Facilitate and support the rollout of new application and enhancements in ServiceNow

Configure ServiceNow Discovery and Orchestration

Develop web services using Java scripts for API's with other applications

Develop new features within client instances using XML, workflow, and other related technology and tools

Adhere to established testing, change management and communication guidelines

Interact with the ITSM SME and deployment project managers to understand the conceptual design and technical requirements

Creation of development specifications

Responsible for implementation all aspects of the ServiceNow IT Service Management (ITSM) platform per best practices including:

Performing core configuration tasks

Working with UI policies, data policies, UI actions, business rules and client scripts

Creating new applications and new modules to establish an information hierarchy

Establishing and interacting with configuration management database (CMDB); managing data with import sets, updates sets and transform maps

Responsible for maintaining the base platforms, reporting and data warehousing and cross-platform integrations between other ITSM-related delivery tools such as:

Infrastructure monitoring (LogicMonitor, SolarWinds and Splunk, etc.)

Contact center systems (8x8 and Cisco CCM, etc.)

Cloud administration consoles (VMware vCloud Director and plug-ins, etc.)

Client account management systems (CRM, time sheets and invoicing, etc.)

Reporting portals and data warehouses

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in the field of computer science, engineering, information technology or similar related field; significant relevant experience may substitute for formal education

Minimum five to ten years of relevant, hands-on development experience

Advanced skills with JavaScript, HTML and XML required for process development and automation

Experience with the following is beneficial: C#, Java, HTML, CSS, Javascript, AngularJS, HTTP, JSON, Jelly,
SAML and SSO, Microsoft AD, LDAP, SOAP, REST

Good database knowledge: SQL, T-SQL, MySQL, SQL SSRS

Strong general knowledge of web services

Any experience with ServiceNow IT Service Management (ITSM) platform or similar (such as BMC Remedy, etc.) would be a plus

Application UI

Process and solution integration

Workflow design/configuration

Reporting

Advanced knowledge of Integration components (SSO, LDAP, etc.)

Strong hands on development experience with web technologies (XML, HTML, JavaScript, and Web Services)

Knowledge of technical components such as LDAP, VPN, SSL technologies is required

Experience in Asset management, ITSM modules, CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, Orchestration would be a plus

Advanced development experience with .NET programming languages.

Software Integration experience utilizing Web Based API

Ability to plan and prioritize work to deliver positive results with minimal supervision

Team player that exhibits professionalism and enjoys working collaboratively as part of a team, as well as working independently to produce results

Demonstrates ability to analyze business needs, use problem-solving skills and develop solutions
