Job Description

The Application Security Specialist is a technical role that will develop solutions to prevent compromise of bank systems, to enhance capabilities to detect threats and response mechanisms to handle incidents when they happen.

S/he works closely with the Information Technology Security Team in communicating security needs and coordinating the implementation efforts.

Position executes and advances the information security program.

Essential Job Function:

Responsible for developing and maintaining the web application security scanning and risk mitigation.

Involved with penetration testing to identify/mitigate security vulnerabilities.

Evaluate output of testing (vulnerability, code review, penetration test) and tracking remediation

Perform Application User profile review/assessments

Develop Application Security Assessment process

Establish IAM Process and assessment including privilege user accounts

Incorporate security testing to development procedures

Take a leadership role in driving internal security and privacy initiatives

Skills and Qualifications:

4-year degree in computer science, information systems management or other related field is preferred or a demonstrated equivalent skills and experience.

2+ years of Application Security testing

Experience in Financial Services and or banking industry preferred

Technical Knowledge/Experience

Strong knowledge of SDLC principles.

General knowledge on Databases

General knowledge of systems, OS, and Infrastructure

General security practices, concepts

Excellent communication and multitasking skills

Able to work independently with minimal supervision Consensus builder, while still results-oriented and commitment focused

Certification are desirable.
