Lead Data Developer
Direct Hire Position
Burnsville, MN
Position Overview:
Maintain development roadmap aligned with product and infrastructure objectives
Contribute to and review architecture and design models
Ensure alignment with over-arching enterprise platform initiatives
Engage with product teams and development teams on scope definition and deliverable timelines
Assist in managing resources and priorities to ensure project timelines are met
Own and manage infrastructure and maintenance projects to ensure continued 24x7 operations
Continuously improve delivery through process improvement and refinement
Position Requirements:
7+ years of professional experience
5+ years of experience in full lifecycle software development within an organization focused on high
volume data management and analytics
3+ years of experience in a senior developer or leadership role
3+ years of experience with data/application integration, message bus architectures, and
transformation/ETL implementations
Solid experience/skills in python and scientific libraries
Experience with application development and object-oriented design
CI/CD experience
Experience with Cloud architectures and usages (preference is cloud-first design experience)
Experience working with geospatial data generation, querying, storage, analysis
Experience working with highly available and scalable data systems
Experience with high performance architectures
Strong Data analysis, data modeling, and data flow design experience
Experience working with decision support systems, data warehousing, and/or analytical data stores
Experience working with historical data storage and analysis patterns and architectures
Has had experience with working within a Linux/Unix environment, including build tools, debug tools, data analysis tools, and application profiling tools
Experience with automated builds and deployment of data stores
Experience working with various languages (i.e. Python, Java, C++, Spark, etc.).
