Summary

Sr. Principal Software engineer is responsible for primarily driving technical integration working with the device engineering teams, Digital Health, IT, Cybersecurity, Service organizations ensuing smooth integration of digital connectivity platform.

The individual also drives appropriate utilization of software engineering methodologies and tools to solve complex integration problems (e.g., API management, Integration patterns, architecture, UML-modelling, and integration testing).

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Drives technical integration layer for the connectivity platform by working with cross functional teams to establish connectivity between products and third parties software including EMR.

Identifies technical integration needs by working with cross functional teams

Facilitates development teams by defining application interfaces based on needs identified and communicates specification with the cross functional team

Works with cross functional team to resolve conflict and drives decision making by working closely with TL (Technical Leader) and architecture office.

Collaborates with Enterprise IT and operation teams for successful deployment and monitoring of software applications in the AWS cloud environment.

Participates in software development activities for web application design, web services, database design and management activities.

Design and development of front end web applications using Vue, Angular, React or other modern front-end frameworks based on the requirements.

Coordinates and drives execution of integration activities with the distributed global teams

Qualifications

BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering and 8 -10 years of product development experience. Master degree is preferred.

Must be able to provide solutions that reflect understanding business objectives, voice needs of cross functional teams in to the platform organization.

Strong organization and planning skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and be persistent when the need arises

At least 5 years of experience in Java Script, Python, web services, SQL

5+ years experience with Node.JS REST / JSON API development and cloud / app connectivity

At least 5 years' web development experience with latest technologies

At least 3 years of experience building cloud native applications, microservices, serverless architecture and IoT framework on Amazon Web Services.

Experience in big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark and AWS EMR is plus

Experience with cyber security related SW development (encryption, certificate and key management, digital signing)

Experience working with virtual teams & multiple design centers

Experience with Agile Development and Scrum methodologies
