SOFTWARE ENGINEER
CARROLLTON, TX
POSITION:
We are hiring for a dynamic Software Engineer to join our client’s growing team in Carrollton, TX! This person will be working within a .NET development application stack and be responsible for supporting applications available to the organization’s customers globally.
The ideal candidate will be well-versed in C#.NET, SQL and WPF; plus have the passion to be highly collaborative with other technical teams and business partners!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Creating, enhancing, and maintaining software components
Producing quality, well-documented code in accordance with project plans and schedules
Estimating accurate timelines for tasks and executing according to estimate
Consistently performing appropriate unit test to ensure deliverables are reasonably free of defects
Staying abreast of latest technology changes within the relevant technology
Performing forensic analysis of field issues / problems / failures
Additional assignments or tasks as needed
Participating in all aspects of the software development lifecycle from product/feature conception through deployment
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Engineering or related field
5+ years’ software development experience
Using Microsoft.NET technologies with emphasis on C#, GUI development, SQL databases, and Windows
7, 8, and/or 10 in a hardware device / machine control application
Experience creating and parsing simple XML documents
Must be able to work independently and in small teams
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Embedded microcontroller software development experience
Ability to read schematic diagrams and troubleshoot wiring problems
Hardware device driver / device control applications
