As the Staff Accountant - you will report directly to the Controller of the Company.
Key Responsibilities:
” Own the expense accounting function including day to day accounting and bill input/management
” Assist in month end close procedures including booking journal entries, analyzing income statement accounts and preparing supporting schedules and reconciliations
” Review business expenses to prepare monthly variance reports
” Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes
” Manage non-trade vendors including system set up, query investigation and cost analysis
Qualifications and Skills:
” Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, active pursuit of Certified Public Accountant
(CPA) license a plus
” Internship or professional accounting experience
” Familiarity with accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures, knowledge
of GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles in the U.S.)
” Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize efficiently with a desire to continue to grow through training.
