Job Description

Our client is a mid-sized international Financial services institution located in Mid-Town Manhattan.

They are currently seeking an ITSM support Engineer to join their ITSM team that supports ServiceNow, SharePoint, and their IAM solutions.

The candidate will be expected to provide technical support to internal users of the bank regarding issues with ServiceNow SharePoint and their IAM solutions. You will track and resolve issues ; provide technical support for internal users; review and improve existing support processes, monitoring, and alerting.

The candidate will work closely with application developers, the release engineering team, infrastructure, and business analysts to identify and resolve issues, and promote change within the environment.

Responsibilities


Manage Discovery schedules and troubleshoot issues with IT Teams as needed

Manage data certification audits and data quality initiatives in ServiceNow

Improve CMDB data quality through automation where possible

Manage CMDB Health Dashboard to report on metrics and progress of data quality initiatives

BDNA platform management

Ensuring integration is functional, data is accurate, etc.

Manage / optimize the software normalization process

Manage / optimize the hardware asset process

Resolve hardware model / software model issues (i.e. models not found in ServiceNow)

Manage SN MID Servers and troubleshoot as needed

Required Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Experience troubleshooting off the shelf applications i.e. ServiceNow SharePoint etc.

Team oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment

Ability to effectively prioritize in a fast-paced environment and shift gears as needed

Good written and oral communication skills; candidate will be expected to interact with persons at all levels within and outside of the organization

Highly self- motivated and directed with a keen attention to detail

Essential Technical Skills

College Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or some other relevant discipline is preferred

2-3 years of experience working in a fast-paced environment

Strong working knowledge of Windows and Linux Operating systems

Knowledge writing basic SQL queries

Ability to write basic scripts in ex. Perl, Python, Batch or Shell

Ability to create / review system/support metrics to ensure excellence in our service to our end users
