Responsibilities:

Development:

The key development areas are:

Perform tactical and strategic enhancements to the front-end for the CB platform. This is an ever-evolving, innovative area and the traders/sales/research teams provide lots of interesting projects to work on.

Create or extend various feeds and reports

As appropriate, get involved with other development workstreams across the global system. With a focus on anything related to the NY users or local NY systems. This involves requirements gathering, project managing and coordinating any projects that are US based.

Support:

Support of the CB systems during the NY day. We have a "follow-the-sun” support model involving HK, Mumbai and London.

Produce any data or reports required by the CB business

Note there is a separate global Production Services team which has resources in Shanghai/Mumbai/NY assigned to CB systems. This team is responsible for Level 1 (and some Level 2) support, but any more
complicated support request is always escalated to the development team.

Respond to any questions or problems raised by the NY user base. This could relate to any aspect of the systems.
Train the NY users following system releases.

Requirements:

Information Technology or similar degree.

2-3+ years in a front-office development role

Strong OOP skills - C#/WPF preferred, but open to Java or C++ as well

Real-time systems

Multi-threaded development

Sybase/SQL

Comfortable on both Windows and UNIX.

Knowledge of Equity or Fixed Income Derivative products (ideally, Convertible Bonds).

Preferred:

Agile software development practices

Experience of working on a trading floor in a Front Office development and support team maintaining a successful relationship with traders/users

Knowledge of some or all of the following additional technologies: Java, Autosys, TIB/RV, TIBCO EMS, Solace, SVN/Gitlab, Bloomberg, DevExpress
