Job Description
Leading global bank with roots in Germany is investing in their digital technology payment processing platform.
As Lead Developer, you will plan and coordinate development while coaching and instructing a team of eight developers as well as supporting them with help and advice on implementation.
You will also work in close cooperation with the Application Management to understand the tools vision and to technically support the business analyst to document new feature requirements.
If you possess good communication skills and an eye for detail in documentation and if you are able to work analytically, autonomously and responsibly at all times, this is your chance.
Your Responsibilities
You will closely collaborate with the application management team to understand the tools vision and to technically support the business analyst to document new feature requirements.
You will technically plan, design and assist your team to consistently implement new features for the existing application.
You will also lead the continuous middle layer migration from PHP to NodeJS with GraphQL as API-Gateway.
On issues relating to the application, you will coordinate closely with the business.
Finally, and not least, you will ensure outstanding code quality and carefully targeted improvements to architecture, the user experience, unit tests and continuous delivery.
Requirements
The successful candidate is likely to hold a degree in mathematics, IT, natural sciences or technology from a state-recognised university; you may also be a similarly qualified developer.
You will possess an excellent knowledge of the following technologies: React 16.6 with JavaScript (ES6), CSS / SCSS and Bootstrap for Single Page Applications (SPA), data management like GraphQL and Redux,
Test Driven Development (TDD) with Jest.
On the backend you will be fluent in NodeJS and have a good understanding of relational and non-relational databases and SQL.
Your credentials will also include a sound knowledge of GIT, JIRA, Confluence and Bitbucket.
An excellent command of English is second nature; knowledge of German would be an advantage.
